Pat’s cooking (Harlem, NY)

More than half of my last trip to New York consisted of sitting in the apartment eating, because of the blizzard. Pat is not only a wonderful friend, she also can cook her ass off. Oh boy did I feel spoiled food-wise, staying with her. If I had to be stuck somewhere because of the blizzard, I couldn’t have been in a better place than at Pat’s.

It started on Christmas Eve, I arrived in Harlem, New York, famished from my trip. Pat made taco’s. I always take pictures of my food but I forgot cause I was so hungry haha. The next day, Christmas Day, Joe made me breakfast, a bagel w/ fried eggs & bacon.

That night Pat cooked Christmas dinner: Lamb chops, chicken, lasagna, green beans, rice & beans.

The day after that, Boxing Day as they call it in England, Pat made Egg Nog. My first time drinking it. And she baked a delicious cake, which I probably ate for 50% haha.

On Monday Joe made me some more breakfast:

And some more of Pat’s cooking later in the week: Chicken, Mac & Cheese, Broccoli. YUM!

And more food… Honeyglazed Ham, Cabbage & Cheese Potatoes

And Pat’s cooking on New Years Eve: Rice & Beans (Hoppin’ John for good luck, according to my friend Eric who joined us for NYE), Chicken, Mac & Cheese and Lettuce.

All in all, Pat’s cooking had me SPOILED. She is one of the best cooks ever. And I was blessed to stay with her and her family for a week. Good food & good company always make for a good home. Love you Pat!
